EXCLUSIVE: David Dhawan Brings Big Star Cast for Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai; Varun Dhawan & Team Head to Scotland
After delivering hits like Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2, Varun Dhawan and his father, director David Dhawan, are teaming up again for a new comedy film titled Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. Over half of the film has already been shot with Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde in the lead. Now, Pinkvilla has exclusively learned that the team is heading to Scotland for a major filming schedule starting April 22.
According to a source, Varun and the team will be in Scotland for 30 days. During this time, they will shoot two important songs, a chase scene, and many funny moments from the movie. The source added,
“It’s a big international schedule that adds new energy to this comedy. The team is very excited about it.”
The source also shared that director David Dhawan has brought together a big group of talented actors for this film.
Along with Varun, Mrunal, and Pooja, the film also stars Maniesh Paul, Jimmy Shergill, Mouni Roy, Chunkey Panday, Rakesh Bedi, and Ali Asgar in key roles. Many scenes with multiple characters will be shot in Scotland, which will create lots of chaos and fun on screen. After this schedule, the film will be nearly complete, except for a couple of songs and a few small scenes.
The movie is being produced by Ramesh Taurani under his banner, TIPS.
We’ve also learned that Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai will bring back Varun Dhawan’s fun-loving comedy style. He will also be seen dancing to upbeat desi songs, which are a trademark of David Dhawan’s films.
Once he finishes this film, Varun will begin working on Border 2 and later move on to the much-awaited No Entry sequel with director Anees Bazmee. He’s also in talks for upcoming projects with Karan Johar and Dinesh Vijan, which will start once he wraps up his current movie commitments.
