Days of Our Lives June 4 Recap: Bo Reunites With His Family, Marlena Mourns John’s Death
The June 4 episode of Days of Our Lives was filled with deep emotions as Bo reunited with his loved ones, while Marlena struggled with the heartbreaking loss of John.
Bo’s Emotional Homecoming
The episode begins with Hope helping Bo to the couch. Even though Bo was in a coma for years, he’s now up and moving. Hope reminds him she stayed by his side the whole time, and they share a loving kiss. She tells him it’s a fresh start for them. Bo feels guilty about the things he did while under Megan’s control, but Hope assures him that their love is still strong.
Ciara walks in while her parents are kissing and happily updates Bo about her life. She now has two kids and travels with Ben. Bo is thrilled to hear he’s a grandfather. Then Shawn Douglas arrives and asks what Bo remembers. Bo says he remembers everything, including being shot by Shawn—but he doesn’t blame him. He puts the blame on Megan, and the father and son share a heartfelt hug.
Bo is happy to know he has four grandkids, but the joy quickly fades when he hears that Victor has passed away. He breaks down in tears, regretting that he never got the chance to tell Victor he loved him. Hope also shares that Doug has died, leaving Bo heartbroken again. Still, he’s thankful to have Hope by his side.
Marlena Struggles With Loss
Meanwhile, Marlena is sitting quietly at Tom and Alice’s memorial, mourning John’s death. She tells Will and Carrie that John wanted his memorial reception to be held at the Brady Pub. Marlena says she told John’s father about his passing herself, even though it was hard. She explains that she has to learn to face things alone now.
Will calls Sami to ask her to come, but she can’t make it—her daughter had an accident and needs surgery.
Johnny is getting ready for his first day working at Titan-DiMera, but he’s shaken by the news of John’s death. Chanel comforts him and tells him he’s brave, just like John. She says he should be proud to carry John’s name. Later, they visit Marlena, who tells Johnny that John was already proud of him. Chanel promises to help Johnny through the hard times.
A Bit of Hope in the Grief
Elsewhere, Andrew comforts Paul, who wishes his dad hadn’t always tried to be a hero. They talk about possibly delaying their wedding, but Marlena encourages them to go ahead with it. She says the family needs something happy right now and suggests they get married in Salem. Paul agrees, saying it would be a way to honor his father.
The episode ends quietly and emotionally, with Shawn telling Hope that John didn’t make it. Hope is left shocked and heartbroken.
