The May 12 episode of Days of Our Lives was packed with drama, emotions, and new twists. Here’s what happened!
Johnny and Chanel Talk About EJ
The episode begins with Johnny and Chanel talking about the shocking shooting of EJ. Chanel reminds Johnny how he used to say he wished EJ was dead. Johnny replies by saying there’s a big difference between wishing something and actually doing it—he makes it clear that he did not shoot EJ.
Chanel tells Johnny he needs to deal with his anger toward his father. Just then, Paulina joins them, and they briefly chat about Sarah’s Sweet Bits treats. After Paulina leaves, Johnny apologizes to Chanel again. He tells her he’s started therapy and now has a new job at Titan-DiMera.
Johnny also mentions he was planning to stay at the Salem Inn longer, but Chanel tells him maybe it’s time to come back home.
Philip and Alex Have a Conversation
Meanwhile, Philip and Alex are talking. Philip is curious why Xander is so eager to buy the hospital, and wonders what his real motive might be.
Kate Confronts Roman About EJ’s Shooting
At the pub, Kate is giving Doug some training, including what to do if there’s a robbery—like giving up the money. She also tells him that Roman keeps a gun locked in a box for emergencies.
Later, Kate realizes the gun is missing. She asks Roman about it and even accuses him of lying when he acts like he doesn’t know what happened.
Eventually, they have a private conversation, and Kate comes right out and asks: “Did you shoot EJ?”
Roman firmly says he didn’t. But Kate is still suspicious, especially because the gun is nowhere to be found.
Roman then admits that on the same night EJ was shot, someone stole his gun. That gun might have been used in the shooting.
