Dipika Kakar Quits Celebrity MasterChef: Reveals Why She Left the Show
Popular actress Dipika Kakar has decided to leave Celebrity MasterChef, and fans were shocked by her sudden exit. Many reports speculated that she left due to health issues. To clear up the rumors, Dipika spoke about her decision in her latest YouTube vlog.
Dipika Kakar Opens Up About Her Exit
In her vlog, Dipika shared the sad news with her fans. She said,
“Yes, unfortunately, my journey on MasterChef has come to an end. Many of you noticed that I was missing from last week’s festival special episode. That’s when my shoulder pain got worse.”
She explained that on the day of the shoot, her pain increased so much that the production team had to take her to the hospital.
“That day, I reached the shoot, but while working slowly, my pain became unbearable. The team rushed me to the hospital, where I had an ECG and an X-ray, but nothing was clear. The pain wasn’t going away, so I couldn’t be a part of that episode.”
Her Health Struggles During the Show
After the hospital visit, Dipika’s doctor prescribed antibiotics, and she started feeling better after a week. However, as soon as she returned to the sets for the Wall Challenge, the pain came back.
“Despite the pain, I finished the day’s shoot and then rushed to the doctor at night,” she revealed.
Her doctor later diagnosed her with a left arm injury that gets worse with rigorous activities. She was advised to wear a sling and avoid heavy movements.
Since the injury prevented her from giving her 100% on the show, Dipika had no choice but to quit the competition. She admitted that it was a very difficult decision, but her health had to come first.
Dipika Kakar’s TV Journey
Dipika’s appearance on Celebrity MasterChef marked her comeback to television after a long break. She had taken time off after embracing motherhood.
The actress is best known for playing Simar Bhardwaj in Sasural Simar Ka (2011-2017), which made her a household name. Besides TV serials, she has also participated in several reality shows like:

- Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8
- Bigg Boss 12 (which she won)
