Dipika Kakar Health Update: Shoaib Ibrahim Shares That Surgery Will Be Done to Remove Tumor
Actor Shoaib Ibrahim recently gave fans an important update about his wife Dipika Kakar’s health. In his latest vlog, Shoaib revealed that Dipika has a tumor in her left liver, about the size of a tennis ball, and doctors are planning surgery to remove it.
On May 16, Shoaib first shared the news about Dipika’s condition. Now, in a new vlog, he informed viewers that Dipika has been admitted to the hospital due to a high fever. He said, “We are at the hospital. Dipika is admitted. The surgery hasn’t been done yet.”
Shoaib also shared that after announcing her diagnosis, he took Dipika to Kokilaben Hospital for some tests. They returned home afterward, but soon Dipika began to experience a lot of pain, especially after she stopped breastfeeding their son, Ruhaan. Shoaib said, “She was in a lot of pain, and because of that, she got a high fever. Her condition got worse with both the pain and fever.”
He explained that on May 17, Dipika had a high fever of 103.9°F throughout the night, which wouldn’t go down even with medicine. It finally came down early in the morning, but then returned a few hours later.
Due to her fever and condition, Dipika was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital on May 25. Shoaib said that since May 26, her fever has not come back, which is a good sign. However, some medical tests had to be postponed because of her fever. On May 21, she finally had her PET scan done, and the report is expected soon.
Shoaib confirmed, “The tumor is there and it needs to be removed. Surgery is necessary. Right now, we’re waiting for the PET scan results. Doctors want to wait until her chest congestion and blocked nose are better before they schedule the surgery.”
He added that doctors said the surgery might happen next week, but it’s not final yet.
Shoaib also spoke about their son Ruhaan. Dipika had to stop breastfeeding him due to her health. At first, Ruhaan cried, but he’s now doing fine. Shoaib said Ruhaan sometimes asks for milk, but seems to understand that his mother is unwell.
Shoaib ended the vlog by thanking everyone for their prayers and support during this difficult time.
