Shoaib Ibrahim shares health update on Dipika Kakar after her stage 2 liver cancer surgery: Says ‘stitches hurt a little’
Dipika Kakar recently had surgery for stage 2 liver cancer. Her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, has been sharing updates about her condition with fans. In a new vlog on his YouTube channel, Shoaib gave another health update and showed Dipika on camera for the first time after the surgery.
Shoaib said, “She is doing much better now. She has started walking again and is eating a normal diet. She is really improving.”
In the video, Shoaib added, “All her reports are coming back fine. There is some pain in the stitches, which is normal. For two days, she had a bad cough, which made the pain a bit worse.” He also shared that Dipika had trouble sleeping after the surgery but was finally able to sleep peacefully on April 8.
Shoaib shared that Dipika got scared when she was taken to the ICU. She thought she would have to stay there for 2-3 days and panicked, especially because she had a tube in her nose.
After she was out of the ICU, she still had a cough for a couple of days, but she slowly started feeling better. Shoaib mentioned that he had asked their family not to visit the hospital too often. Their son Ruhaan would come for a short time and then leave.
Shoaib said the last 8-10 days were very tough for the family after finding out about Dipika’s cancer. But he was thankful that the surgery went well and that she was now recovering. He added, “The tumor has been removed, but some more tests will still be done. We’re hopeful everything will be fine.”
Later in the vlog, Shoaib showed Dipika, who smiled and thanked fans for all the love and prayers. He also showed a sweet moment of Dipika playing with their son, Ruhaan.
