Shoaib Ibrahim Shares Update on Wife Dipika Kakar’s Liver Cancer Surgery
Actor Shoaib Ibrahim has shared a new update about his wife Dipika Kakar, who is undergoing surgery today (June 3) to remove a stage 2 liver cancer tumor.
Last month, Shoaib revealed that Dipika had a tennis ball-sized tumor in her liver. At first, the surgery was delayed because Dipika developed a high fever and had to be hospitalized. After several tests, doctors confirmed that the tumor was cancerous.
Shoaib’s Message to Fans
Late on June 2, Shoaib took to Instagram Stories to share the news about Dipika’s surgery. He wrote:
“Dippi’s surgery is scheduled to happen tomorrow morning. It’s going to be a long surgery… she needs all your prayers & strength the most… please keep her in your prayers.”
Shoaib’s emotional message touched fans, who have been praying for Dipika ever since she publicly shared her diagnosis.
How It All Started
Dipika’s health problems began with severe stomach pain. After undergoing tests, doctors found a gallbladder stone. But further scans revealed something more serious—a tumor in the left side of her liver.
Shoaib shared more details in a vlog, explaining how quickly everything happened. Dipika was admitted to the hospital soon after because of a high fever (103.9°F). She stayed under observation, and on May 23, Shoaib updated fans that her fever had come under control and she was discharged from the hospital.
On May 27, Dipika herself confirmed through social media that she had been diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. Since then, fans, celebrities, and well-wishers have been sending her love, strength, and prayers.

Dipika Kakar was last seen in Celebrity MasterChef, while Shoaib Ibrahim recently appeared as a contestant on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11.
