Dipshikkha Nagpal Opens Up: ‘I Wish I Had a Man in My Life’ – Know Why

Dipshikkha Nagppal: “I Wish I Had a Man in My Life”

On International Men’s Day (November 19), actress Dipshikkha Nagppal opened up about her thoughts on men and shared personal feelings about her life. In an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, she expressed how much she misses her son and how she wishes there was a man in her life to make feel special.

Dipshikkha, known for her role in Megha Barsenge, shared, “I wish I had a man in my life to make him feel special. But right now, the only man in my life is my son, and he’s away studying. I would have definitely made him feel special if he were here.”

However, she also emphasized that love and respect shouldn’t be limited to special days like International Men’s Day, Women’s Day, or Mother’s Day. “There has to be mutual respect every day,” she said. “Whether it’s your father, brother, son, husband, or boyfriend, men deserve appreciation and respect all year round, not just on one day.”

Dipshikkha shared that she lost her father and currently doesn’t have a boyfriend or husband, leaving her to focus on her son. She added, “Unfortunately, he’s not here today, so I can only think about making him feel special.”

The Importance of Celebrating Men

The actress believes International Men’s Day should be celebrated with the same enthusiasm as Mother’s Day or Women’s Day. “Men are emotional beings too. They need attention, pampering, and care just like women do,” she explained. While she is critical of some men’s behavior, she clarified that she isn’t against men but against behaviors that disrespect women.

Dipshikkha reflected on how society’s view of men has changed over time, especially in films and television. “Earlier, men were always shown as being strong all the time. I believed that too because I didn’t have a brother, and my father was a strong personality,” she said.

Her perspective shifted after she had her son. “When I became a mother, I saw my son cry, feel hurt, and then grow stronger. That made me realize emotions have nothing to do with gender. Men have feelings too, and that experience changed my respect for them.”

The Role of Upbringing

Dipshikkha highlighted the role of upbringing in shaping men’s behavior. “It’s about how parents raise their sons, the values they teach, and how they guide them to treat others, especially women. It’s not about men as a whole but about the mentality and behaviors that come from their upbringing.”

Dipshikkha has been a part of popular shows like Na Umra Ki Seema Ho and Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein 2. Her message on International Men’s Day serves as a reminder to value men in our lives and encourage mutual respect between genders.
