Elvish Yadav Shares Work Update Amid Calls for His Removal from Laughter Chefs 2
Elvish Yadav, who was recently accused of making a racist remark against actress Chum Darang, is facing serious backlash. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has strongly opposed his participation in Laughter Chefs 2 and even demanded his removal. Now, amid this controversy, Elvish has shared an update about his work life.
Elvish Yadav’s Work Update
Taking to his Twitter (now X) account, Elvish Yadav posted about his professional life. Even though FWICE wants him removed from Laughter Chefs 2, he expressed his gratitude for his ongoing projects.
His post read:
👉 “Guys, thank you for this dream life. Work Update: Laughter Chef, Roadies, Phodcast, Indian Game Adda, ECL, Songs – 0.”
With this message, Elvish made it clear that he is still a part of all these shows despite the controversy.
Why Is FWICE Against Elvish Yadav?
Elvish Yadav became famous after winning Bigg Boss OTT Season 2, making him a popular face in the entertainment world. However, his career has also been filled with controversies.
Recently, he allegedly made a racial comment on Chum Darang, which led to huge criticism. FWICE strongly opposed his remarks and demanded that the channel remove him from Laughter Chefs 2.
The controversy started when Elvish and his friend Rajat made inappropriate remarks about Chum Darang and her role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Elvish was heard saying:
👉 “Karan Veer must have had COVID for sure because who would like Chum? Who can have such bad taste? Even her name is vulgar. What work has she done in Gangubai Kathiawadi?”
This statement sparked a huge backlash, leading to demands for his removal from the show.
Legal Trouble for Elvish Yadav
Elvish Yadav is no stranger to controversies. Over the years, he has faced several legal issues, including:
- The snake venom case
- The rave party case
- Physically assaulting fellow YouTuber Maxtern
Because of his repeated controversies, he has become one of the most talked-about personalities in the industry.
Apart from FWICE, the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) also condemned Elvish’s comments and has summoned him for questioning.
Where Is Elvish Yadav Now?
Despite the controversy, Elvish Yadav continues to work on various projects. He is currently:
- A contestant on Laughter Chefs 2
- A gang leader on MTV Roadies XX
For now, it seems that the controversy has not affected his work, but it remains to be seen whether the show’s makers will take action against him.
