Elvish Yadav Responds to Backlash Over His ‘Racist’ Comments on Bigg Boss 18’s Chum Darang
Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav is once again in the spotlight, this time for his comments about Bigg Boss 18 contestant Chum Darang. In his latest vlog, he reacted to the controversy and addressed the backlash.
What Happened?
Recently, Elvish Yadav invited Karan Veer Mehra and Rajat Dalal to his podcast. However, some of their unfiltered comments created a stir on social media. Soon after, Elvish himself faced criticism for making alleged ‘racist’ remarks about Chum Darang.
Elvish Yadav’s Response
Clips of Elvish’s comments on Chum Darang went viral, and many people slammed him online. In his vlog, Elvish clarified his stance. He admitted that he saw the outrage on Twitter and decided to delete the controversial part from his podcast.
He explained:
👉 “I had said something about Chum. I don’t care whether I said it or not; I removed it. I don’t want any negativity. If anyone felt bad because of what I said, then I have removed that part.”
Defending Himself Against Racism Allegations
Elvish also addressed claims that he made racist remarks by linking Chum Darang to Covid-19. Responding to the accusations, he said:
👉 “There are so many foolish people who don’t understand this. They are saying that because I mentioned Covid, I was connecting it with Chum being Chinese. But what I actually meant was that maybe Karan has Covid, which is why he has lost his sense of taste and smell, and that’s why he likes Chum.”
He further stated that he was not being racist and was simply joking about Karan’s taste in women. He also added that he does not support racism in any way.

Elvish Yadav is not the only one facing backlash. Rajat Dalal’s harsh remarks about Karan Veer Mehra, Shilpa Shirodkar, Vivian Dsena, Avinash Mishra, and Eisha Singh also angered many people online.
