Elvish Yadav is once again caught in controversy, this time for making a racist remark about Bigg Boss 18 contestant Chum Darang. The issue started when Elvish, during a podcast with Rajat Dalal, made negative comments about Chum and her role in Gangubai Kathiawadi. His words sparked outrage, leading the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) to criticize him and even summon him.

Karan Veer Mehra’s Reaction to the Elvish Yadav Controversy
Recently, Karan Veer Mehra was spotted in the city, and when paparazzi asked him about the case filed against Elvish, he simply said:
“Bohot bura hua, aisa nahi hona chahiye tha.”
(Translation: “This is very bad. It shouldn’t have happened.”)
Though his response was short, it clearly showed his disappointment with the situation.
What Did Elvish Yadav Say About Chum Darang?
Elvish Yadav’s comment about Chum Darang has upset many people. In the podcast, he allegedly said:
“Karan Veer must have had Covid because who can like Chum? Who can have such bad taste? Even her name sounds vulgar. What work has she done in Gangubai Kathiawadi?”
These remarks were widely criticized, with many people calling them offensive and unacceptable.
APSCW’s Strong Response
The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) took serious action against Elvish Yadav. According to The Economic Times, APSCW chairperson Kenjum Pakam sent a letter to the National Commission for Women, stating that Elvish’s words were not just an insult to Chum but also to all women from Northeast India.
APSCW has demanded strict action against Elvish, saying that such comments should not be tolerated.
Elvish Yadav and Rajat Dalal’s Clarification
After facing massive backlash, Rajat Dalal released a video where he claimed that the conversation was scripted and that Elvish was asked to say those things about Chum.
Later, Elvish himself addressed the issue in a video, saying:
“I said something about Chum. I don’t care whether I said it or not; I removed it. I don’t want any negativity. If anyone felt bad because of what I said, I have removed that part.”
However, many people were not satisfied with this response and felt that he did not properly apologize.

This controversial podcast didn’t just target Chum Darang. Rajat Dalal also made negative comments about other celebrities, including:
