The promo for Bigg Boss 18 is already out, and there has been a lot of speculation about who the contestants will be. According to recent media reports, the makers of the show approached Disha Vakani, best known for playing Daya Ben in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time she was offered a spot on the show. Reports suggest that Disha was offered a massive Rs 65 crore to join Bigg Boss 18. Yes, you read that right!
This huge amount is said to be the highest fee ever offered to any celebrity in Bigg Boss history. However, despite the large offer, Disha reportedly declined and chose not to participate. So far, she has not made any official statement about this. Even though Disha turned down the offer, the show’s makers were eager to have her as a contestant.
Disha Vakani has been a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah since the beginning. However, in 2017, she took a maternity break and left the show. It has now been over six years, and she has not returned. Although there have been hints of her comeback, Disha has focused on raising her children instead. Last year, she was spotted at a garba event with her family, joining her husband and two kids for the aarti.
As for Bigg Boss 18, Salman Khan will be returning as the host. Many other celebrities are rumored to have been approached for the show. During the grand finale of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, host Rohit Shetty confirmed that Nia Sharma would be entering the Bigg Boss 18 house. The new season is set to premiere on Sunday, September 6.
