Falaq Naazz Talks About Reaching Out to Dipika Kakar After Her Stage 2 Liver Cancer Diagnosis: “I Tried Calling…”
After Dipika Kakar revealed that she has been diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer, fans and friends have been showing her a lot of love and support. Many are praying for her recovery. Among them is her former co-star and friend, Falaq Naazz.
In a recent chat with Telly Masala, Falaq shared that she tried to contact Dipika and her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, after hearing the news. She said,
“I tried calling both Shoaib and Dipika. The call went through, but I couldn’t speak to Dipika directly. I hope she recovers soon. May Allah give her strength and good health—that’s my prayer for her. If I get to talk to her, I’ll definitely go meet her. But till now, I haven’t been able to speak with her. They must be busy with hospital stuff and treatments.”
For those who don’t know, Dipika and Falaq became close friends while working together on the TV show Sasural Simar Ka. Falaq was even part of Dipika and Shoaib’s wedding in Bhopal. However, over the years, their friendship faded. In an old interview with Tellychakkar, Falaq had expressed her sadness that Dipika didn’t keep in touch after getting married.
Coming back to Dipika’s health, Shoaib Ibrahim recently told fans that doctors found a tumor the size of a tennis ball in her left liver. She was first hospitalized with a high fever of 103.9°F on May 16. After being discharged, more tests were done, which confirmed the stage 2 cancer. So far, the couple hasn’t shared any updates about her surgery to remove the tumor.
