Meet Gaurav Khanna: From Corporate Job to TV Stardom with Big Names Like Yami Gautam and Rupali Ganguly
Gaurav Khanna, now a well-known name in the television industry, didn’t always dream of acting. It took him years of hard work and determination to earn the recognition he deserves.
A Different Beginning
Before becoming a household name, Gaurav lived a completely different life. He came to Mumbai, not for acting, but to pursue an MBA. He even worked as a marketing manager in an IT firm for nearly a year.
But life had other plans. One day, while at the gym, someone approached him about doing a commercial. He agreed, and that opportunity opened doors for him in the world of television commercials. Eventually, in 2006, he made his acting debut in the TV serial Bhabhi.
The Journey to Stardom
After his debut, Gaurav appeared in several shows, including Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan. In 2007, he landed his first lead role in Meri Doli Tere Angana. Over the years, he worked in shows like Ardhangani, Santaan, Ssshhhh…Phir Koi Hai, and Jeevan Saathi. Alongside acting, he also hosted a few reality shows.
One of his most memorable roles was in Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam, where he starred opposite Bollywood actress Yami Gautam. Their love story as Abeer and Leher won hearts, and the audience loved their on-screen chemistry.
The Big Break
Gaurav’s career reached new heights when he joined Anupamaa in 2021. He played Anuj Kapadia, the lead opposite Rupali Ganguly’s Anupama. His portrayal of Anuj brought him immense fame and love from fans. Gaurav’s time on the show ended before it took a 15-year leap, but his role left a lasting impression.
From doing commercials for pocket money to becoming one of the most recognized faces on TV, Gaurav Khanna’s story is an inspiring journey of chasing dreams and finding success.
