Many TV actors have left their mark on the small screen, but when they tried to transition to Bollywood, things didn’t go as planned. One such actor is Karanvir Bohra, who faced financial losses and was even once called “gareeb” (poor).
In an interview with Times of India, Karanvir Bohra shared that he lost a lot of money while making a film. He said, “I wanted to make a film and ended up spending a lot on it, but it didn’t work out at all. I lost money on the film Humein Tumse Pyaar Kitna. It was made well, but we didn’t get the right release.”
Karanvir also recalled a painful incident after the death of his friend, Sidharth Shukla. When he went to pay his respects, he arrived in a small car and was called “gareeb” because of it.
He further opened up about losing a lot of money due to his ambitions. He mentioned that nepotism and industry connections played a role in the film Humein Tumse Pyaar Kitna not being executed as planned.
Karanvir Bohra is best known for his roles in popular TV shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kkusum. He’s also appeared in Bollywood movies like Kismat Konnection and Humein Tumse Pyaar Kitna. Coming from a film family, his father Mahendra Bohra is a filmmaker, and his grandfather, Ramkumar Bohra, was an actor and producer.
Karanvir started his career as a child actor in Tejaa and later made his TV debut in Just Mohabbat. His first lead role came in the popular show Shararat, where he became a household name.
Karanvir is married to Tejay Sidhu, and they have three daughters: Raya Bella, Vienna, and Gia Vanessa Snow Bohra. According to a report by DNA, Karanvir charged Rs 20 lakh per week for Bigg Boss 12, but for Lock Upp, his fee was Rs 2 lakh per week.
