In a recent challenge, Gaurav Khanna and Nikki Tamboli were paired together as a team. Their task was to present one dish before the judges—Farah Khan, Ranveer Brar, and Vikas Khanna. However, things quickly became tense as both of them wanted their own dish to be selected.
Gaurav was confident that his dish should be the one presented, while Nikki insisted on submitting hers. This disagreement soon turned into a heated argument. At one point, Nikki even said, “You just keep copying me! Why did they pair me with him?”
As the argument escalated, Farah Khan stepped in and reminded them not to give up. After much debate, Nikki finally decided to step back and let Gaurav present his dish to the judges.
Judges Praise Gaurav Khanna’s Dish
When Gaurav presented his dish, the judges were impressed. They praised the flavors and overall presentation, keeping both him and Nikki in the race for the immunity pin.
Chef Ranveer Brar then asked Gaurav how he managed to convince Nikki to let him present his dish. The Anupamaa actor confidently replied, “I have learned that self-confidence is very important.”
Chef Vikas Khanna also complimented him, saying that people shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. Gaurav explained that he trusted his instincts because he had tasted his dish and knew it was good.
Gaurav Recalls His Struggling Days
Reflecting on his journey, Gaurav shared that he had always believed in himself, even when others doubted him. “I was in the corporate world before I became an actor. People laughed at me when I decided to leave my MBA background to become an actor,” he recalled.
Despite facing criticism, he worked hard and carved a successful career in television. He proudly shared, “I have been in this industry for 18 years and have done 20 TV shows. I am a go-getter, and if I have confidence in something, I don’t give up.”
Celebrity MasterChef Airs on Sony TV
