Fans were left shocked after hearing that Shivaji Satam, known as ACP Pradyuman, is no longer part of CID. Pinkvilla spoke to actor Gaurav Khanna, who was once part of the show, to get his thoughts on the surprising news.
Gaurav Khanna Shares His Reaction
Gaurav Khanna has been a well-known face on Indian television, winning hearts through daily soaps and reality shows. He once played Senior Inspector Kavin on CID. Speaking to Pinkvilla in an exclusive chat, he said he was very surprised when he heard that Shivaji Satam had left the show.
“I think there’s definitely something behind it, but yes, it was big news. I honestly cannot imagine CID without Satam sir,” Gaurav said.
Sweet Memories from the CID Days
Before talking about Satam’s exit, Gaurav fondly remembered his time on CID. He shared that food was a big part of the team’s bond. “Everyone on set loved food, and lunch was a big deal for us,” he said with a smile.
He also revealed a sweet memory — Shivaji Satam used to make lassi (a yogurt drink) for him every day. Gaurav was on CID for about a year and said he always looked forward to meals while on set.
What Happens to ACP Pradyuman in the Story?
In the new season of CID, ACP Pradyuman dies in a bomb blast planned by the team’s enemies. His loss leaves the team heartbroken. After his death, a new character, ACP Ayushman, played by Parth Samthaan, enters the show.
Parth has returned to television after five years and now joins the existing team, which includes Dayanand Shetty, Aditya Srivastava, and others in lead roles.

Recently, Gaurav won Celebrity MasterChef and impressed fans with his cooking skills. Before that, he was loved for playing Anuj Kapadia in the hit show Anupamaa.
