Celebrity MasterChef: Hussain Kuwajerwala Hints Gaurav Khanna Might Open a Restaurant in Kanpur — Gaurav Recalls Staying at His House in Early Days
The Celebrity MasterChef finale is finally here, and fans are super excited! The top five finalists — Tejasswi Prakash, Faisal Shaikh, Nikki Tamboli, Rajiv Adatia, and Gaurav Khanna — are giving it their all to win the title. Ahead of the grand finale, a sweet moment between Gaurav Khanna and his close friend Hussain Kuwajerwala stole the spotlight.
👨🍳 A Heartwarming Reunion
Before the finale, families of the finalists were invited to the show to support them. Unfortunately, Gaurav’s family couldn’t make it. But the makers had a surprise planned — Gaurav’s dear friend Hussain Kuwajerwala came to cheer for him!
Gaurav was overwhelmed and hugged Hussain tightly. He said,
“He is like my own family. When I came to Mumbai, I used to live and eat at Hussain’s home. My early days in the city were spent with him.”
Gaurav shared that they have a deep bond going back to 2002 when they met on the set of Kumkum: Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan. Gaurav played the younger son of Hussain’s character, mainly because they looked alike. Since then, their friendship has grown stronger.
🍽️ A New Dream: Khaana by Khanna
During the episode, Hussain shared an exciting piece of news — Gaurav is planning to open a restaurant in Kanpur, and it will be called “Khaana by Khanna.” He added that Gaurav’s wife is working on the interior design, and his parents are busy with preparations. Hussain joked that’s why no one from Gaurav’s family could come — they’re all busy with the restaurant!
He also praised Gaurav for being a naturally competitive person and jokingly added,
“He once lived at my home, so now it’s his turn to come cook for me at my place!”
