Gaurav Sharma Reveals Why He Quickly Accepted Badall Pe Paon Hai After Anupamaa
Gaurav Sharma, who recently joined Badall Pe Paon Hai as Maahir, opened up about why he immediately accepted the role after leaving Anupamaa. In an exclusive chat, he shared the interesting reason behind his decision.
Why Gaurav Said “Yes” Instantly
Gaurav explained, “I played two negative roles back-to-back on TV. After leaving Anupamaa, I wanted to try something different—a positive role for a change. When I was approached for Maahir, I said yes instantly.”
He also mentioned how Maahir’s character stands out compared to his previous roles. “I keep learning more about Maahir by reading the screenplay carefully and discussing the character’s development with my creative team. I always try to bring something fresh to the table and avoid playing clichés,” he said.
Maahir’s Role in the Story
In Badall Pe Paon Hai, Maahir is deeply in love with Baani (played by Amandeep Sidhu), but he respects her marriage and knows his boundaries. Gaurav shared, “Maahir is a savior; he helped Rajat (played by Aakash Ahuja) when he was in trouble and mistreated.”
He added, “Baani and Maahir have developed a good friendship. Maahir is always there to support and help her. Their relationship is purely platonic.”
How Maahir Connects With Viewers
When asked how his character resonates with the audience, Gaurav said, “In today’s world, young professionals, entrepreneurs, and businessmen focus on their families, health, and goals when choosing life partners. Maahir reflects these qualities. His truthfulness, honesty, and confidence make him a unique and relatable character.”
