Goodbye Anupamaa: Aurra Bhatnagar Gets Emotional as She Exits Show

Anupamaa: Aurra Bhatnagar, aka Aadhya, Writes Emotional Goodbye Note as She Leaves the Show

Aurra Bhatnagar, who played the role of Aadhya in Anupamaa, has said goodbye to the show after Nidhi Shah and Chandni Bhagwanani. She shared a heartfelt note filled with gratitude and emotions.

Anupamaa, starring Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna, is one of the most loved TV shows in India right now. Its gripping storyline and surprising twists have kept the show at the top of the TRP charts week after week. Now, with a generation leap on the way, new characters will be joining the show, and the older ones, like Aurra Bhatnagar, have finished their journey.

Aurra Bhatnagar, who played Anupama and Anuj’s daughter Aadhya, filmed her last episode on October 9, 2024. She joined the cast after a five-year leap in the storyline.

As her time on the show ends, Aurra wrote a heartfelt goodbye note and shared some of her special memories with the cast of Anupamaa. She got emotional, especially when she said farewell to her on-screen father, Gaurav Khanna.

Talking about her last day on set, Aurra wrote, “They say goodbyes are tough, and I felt it deeply on October 9. It was my last day, a night shoot, and I was the only one filming, which made it even harder.”

She also reflected on her time with Rupali Ganguly (Anupamaa) and Gaurav Khanna (Anuj). Aurra said, “As I sat in my vanity van, taking a break between shoots, I looked out the window. It was a quiet night with a bit of fog and light rain after weeks of heat. I started thinking about my first day on the Anupamaa set and all the memories since then—Mommy Anupama’s warm hugs, the laughter, and the lunch breaks with Pops (Gaurav Khanna).”

Aurra went on to thank the entire Anupamaa team, writing, “A knock on the door brought me back to reality. Saying goodbye was difficult. On my way out, I wanted to thank Rajan Shahi Sir for believing in me and trusting that I could portray the deep emotions of Aadhya, a child facing emotional struggles. My heartfelt thanks also go to our direction team, led by Romesh Kalra Sir and Abhay Jadhao Sir, as well as the entire production and camera crew.”

The show’s makers have already released a new promo for the post-leap episodes. In it, Aadhya is shown as a grown-up girl, and Anupamaa is still living with her. These new episodes will start airing on October 14, 2024.
