Gulki Joshi, best known for playing Haseena Malik in Maddam Sir, recently found true love. After the show ended its successful three-year run, Gulki had more free time and decided to focus on her personal life. She ventured into online dating and eventually met someone special. Here’s a glimpse into her love story.
In an interview with the Times of India, Gulki shared her experience of dating after Maddam Sir. She said, “When the show ended, I decided to try a dating app, even though some people advised against it. I thought, ‘If it doesn’t work out, I can always say it was a fake profile. I have time, so why not give it a shot?’” She laughed as she recalled her decision. Luckily, the only person she connected with on the app didn’t know about her TV career or her professional life.
Gulki revealed that the man she met through the app initially thought she was exaggerating about her career until she showed him some episodes of her work. What she liked most was that he appreciated her as a person first, before recognizing her as an actor. “It’s been about nine months now,” Gulki said. “At first, it was all about excitement and butterflies. But for the first time, I feel emotionally secure. For women, emotional security is the most important thing.”
The Phir Subah Hogi actress believes one reason they connected so well is that he isn’t from the entertainment industry. However, Gulki isn’t ready to make their relationship public yet because she believes in the concept of nazar (the evil eye) and feels the relationship is still new. After Maddam Sir, Gulki took a five-month break to travel and reconnect with herself. She wanted to step away from her role and focus on her personal growth, which eventually led her to this new chapter in her life.
On the professional side, Gulki Joshi is also known for her roles in popular TV shows like Nadaan Parindey Ghar Aaja, Piya Rangrezz, Paramavatar Shri Krishna, Ek Shringaar – Swabhiman, and Piyaa Albela, along with her standout performance in Maddam Sir.
