Gurucharan Singh’s Father Shares Health Update: Taarak Mehta Actor Recovering at Home
Gurucharan Singh, known for his role as Roshan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, recently worried his fans when news broke about his health issues. The actor had been hospitalized due to severe weakness. Now, his father, Hargit Singh, has shared an update, confirming that Gurucharan is recovering at home.
Health Update
In an interview with News18, Hargit Singh said, “By Waheguru’s grace, he is doing much better now. He had to be hospitalized because of severe weakness, which left him in a critical condition for a while. It was a tough time for our family.”
Hargit revealed that Gurucharan is focusing on regaining his strength. He has started eating fresh, healthy meals and spends peaceful moments at the Gurudwara to aid his recovery. “He is out of danger now, thanks to God’s blessings and the doctors’ efforts,” he added.
Road to Recovery
Gurucharan has also begun taking short walks and is slowly getting back to his routine. However, the family is being cautious to ensure he doesn’t overexert himself. Hargit expressed gratitude for the love and positivity Gurucharan has received from fans and friends. “We are hopeful that with time, care, and rest, he will return to his full form,” he concluded.
Ongoing Court Case
When asked about an ongoing court case involving the family, Hargit shared that it has been ongoing for 50 years. He remarked that only God knows what will happen next.

Gurucharan played Roshan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He first left the show in 2012, returned due to fan demand, and exited again in 2020. Currently, Balwinder Singh Suri plays the role of Sodhi on the show.
