Halle Berry Becomes a Fan of Chris Hemsworth After He Stands Up for Her on Crime 101 Set: “I’m Gonna Follow This Guy…”
Halle Berry recently shared that she’s now a huge fan of Chris Hemsworth, thanks to something special he did on the sets of their new film Crime 101. The two stars were at CinemaCon to promote their upcoming movie, and while speaking to E! News, Berry opened up about a powerful moment that made her admire Hemsworth even more.
Chris Hemsworth Stood Up for Halle Berry
Berry didn’t go into full details but said that Hemsworth stood up for her during a moment on set. That gesture really touched her.
“He’s a stand-up guy,” Berry said. “I won’t go into it now, but he stood up for me in a moment in our movie, and instantly I knew — I’m gonna follow this guy, be a fan of this guy for the rest of his life because he stood up for a woman.”
She added,
“He didn’t have to do it — but he did it.”
Hemsworth Was Also Excited to Work With Berry
Chris Hemsworth, known for playing Thor in the MCU, took the lead role in Crime 101 after Pedro Pascal had to back out due to scheduling issues. Hemsworth himself is a longtime fan of Halle Berry and felt honored to work with her.
“I’ve admired Halle’s work for many, many years,” he said. “I was honestly intimidated to sit across from her and act in the same scene — I was just trying not to be in awe.”
About the Movie Crime 101
In Crime 101, Hemsworth plays a jewel thief, while Berry plays an insurance broker. The film is being made for Prime Video, and the buzz around it is already high.
