Fans Pick Their Favorite for Baburao’s Role
In the poll, fans had to choose between Pankaj Tripathi, Sanjay Mishra, Boman Irani, and Anupam Kher. The results are in, and a clear winner emerged—Pankaj Tripathi! Nearly 59% of voters felt that he would be the best choice to step into Baburao’s shoes in Hera Pheri 3.
The Controversy Behind Paresh Rawal’s Exit
Paresh Rawal’s exit from the film wasn’t just surprising—it also led to a major legal dispute. Reports say that Akshay Kumar, who is co-producing the movie through his company Cape of Good Films, has sued Rawal for ₹25 crore. The production house claims that Rawal had already accepted ₹11 lakh as part of his fee, but then backed out without a valid reason, causing financial loss.
Soon after, Paresh Rawal reportedly returned the ₹11 lakh, adding 11% interest on top of it.
Paresh Rawal’s Legal Team Responds
Rawal’s legal team spoke out and denied the production team’s claims. In a statement to IANS, they said the filmmakers had not provided a story, screenplay, or even a complete agreement. According to them, the project wasn’t ready, and that’s why Rawal decided to step away.
They also added that the title of the film is still unclear, and no actual progress had been made on the movie. So, there couldn’t be any financial loss as claimed. That’s why Rawal returned the payment with interest and moved on.
