In a recent interview, Gippy Grewal revealed, “I worked with Hina in her first Punjabi movie. We share a strong friendship, and my wife is also very close to her. During the promotions, Hina didn’t say anything about her illness. We didn’t talk about it at all. I was shocked when I found out through her social media post.”
Gippy added, “I messaged her, and she told me she’s doing well. It takes a lot of strength to face something like this, and she continues to be a source of inspiration and confidence for everyone around her.”
Shinda Shinda No Papa was released in May 2024, marking Hina Khan’s debut in the Punjabi film industry. A month later, she announced her cancer diagnosis on social media. Gippy Grewal shared that Hina didn’t tell anyone during the promotions, and he was surprised to learn about it online.
