EXCLUSIVE: Hrithik Roshan Turns Director for India’s Biggest Superhero Film ‘Krrish 4’, Produced by Aditya Chopra
Big news for all superhero fans! The popular Indian superhero franchise Krrish is making a grand comeback with Krrish 4, and it’s bringing some exciting surprises. According to sources, the film will go on floors in early 2026 and will be produced by Aditya Chopra, in collaboration with Rakesh Roshan.
But here’s the biggest update — Hrithik Roshan is not only playing the lead role again but also making his directorial debut with Krrish 4. Yes, you read that right! One of India’s top stars will now also sit in the director’s chair for this iconic franchise.
Hrithik Roshan to Direct Krrish 4
A source revealed, “Hrithik will be both the actor and director for Krrish 4, the biggest superhero film series in Indian cinema. It all started with Koi Mil Gaya in 2003, followed by Krrish and Krrish 3. The script is ready, and the team has already started pre-production to begin filming in early 2026.”
Rakesh Roshan Passes the Torch
In a statement to Pinkvilla, veteran director and Hrithik’s father Rakesh Roshan confirmed the news. He said, “I am handing over the director’s role for Krrish 4 to my son, Hrithik. He has grown up with this franchise and knows it deeply. He has a strong and ambitious vision for the future of Krrish.”
He added, “As a father and a filmmaker, I’m so proud to see him take on this challenge. Krrish is very special to our family, and now Hrithik will take the story forward and make it even bigger.”
Aditya Chopra Comes on Board
Rakesh Roshan also shared his excitement about Aditya Chopra coming in as the producer. He said, “It makes me really happy to see Adi producing Krrish 4. He was the one who encouraged Hrithik to direct the film. With Yash Raj Films’ experience, resources, and understanding of technology, this project is in great hands.”
