India’s Got Latent Controversy: Ashish Chanchlani Spotted Amidst Backlash

Ashish Chanchlani Spotted in the City Amid India’s Got Latent Controversy

Popular YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani was seen in the city on March 10 after a long time. His appearance comes amid the ongoing India’s Got Latent controversy. He was heading to the gym when the paparazzi caught up with him.

Ashish’s Fun Interaction with the Paparazzi

When the paps asked about his whereabouts, Ashish responded in a lighthearted way, saying,
“Idhar udhar ghoom ke… poora India tour karke halat kharab ho gayi hai” (I am tired after traveling around the country).
He also asked the photographers how they were doing before heading inside.

Fans React to His Comeback

Fans were excited to see Ashish after a long time and showered him with love. One fan commented,
“Poora India tour karke. Damn, feel sad, inko ye sab court ke chakkar mein karna pad raha hai.”
(He had to travel so much because of the court case, feeling bad for him).

The Controversy & Legal Battle

Ashish Chanchlani is currently dealing with legal trouble related to India’s Got Latent. He recently took legal action to dismiss a case filed against him in Guwahati. In February 2025, he approached the Supreme Court, asking for the case to be dropped or moved to Mumbai.

  • The main accused in the controversy is Ranveer Allahabadia (BeerBiceps), but Ashish’s name is also mentioned in the complaint.
  • The Guwahati High Court granted Ashish temporary bail and told him to meet the investigating officer within ten days.
  • His lawyers argued that he never said anything controversial on the show.

What Started the Controversy?

In January 2025, Ranveer Allahabadia made an inappropriate remark on Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. His question to a young contestant was considered offensive, leading to huge public outrage.

  • The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (I&B) and the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) stepped in.
  • Due to the backlash, the episode was removed from YouTube.
  • Legal complaints were filed against Ranveer Allahabadia, Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija.

Latest Court Decision

In a recent ruling, the Supreme Court allowed Ranveer Allahabadia to continue his podcast, The Ranveer Show. The case is still ongoing, and more updates are expected soon.
