India’s Got Latent Controversy: Apoorva Mukhija Speaks Out for the FIRST Time After Backlash
After facing huge criticism for making controversial remarks on Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent, Apoorva Mukhija has finally returned to Instagram.
The Controversy
The show India’s Got Latent sparked major controversy across the country after well-known social media creators and comedians made offensive statements. Because of this, many online personalities like Apoorva Mukhija, Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia, and Ashish Chanchlani faced serious backlash.
Since the controversy started, Apoorva remained silent and did not speak about the issue. But now, she has finally broken her silence.
Apoorva Returns to Instagram
After her name got linked to the India’s Got Latent Controversy on February 10, Apoorva Mukhija, also known as The Rebel Kid, disappeared from Instagram. She stopped posting pictures and videos and even paused her work.
Now, after a month-long break, she has finally returned to Instagram and posted a message on her broadcast channel.
On March 13, she wrote:
“Diwaaron ke bhi kaan hote hai” (Even walls have ears).
She also thanked her followers for supporting her during this time, writing:
“So thank you.”

Her Last Post Before the Break
For those who don’t know, Apoorva’s last Instagram broadcast message was on February 10. She had written:
“This is not how I should be right now.”
That was the same day the controversy escalated, with FIRs (police complaints) being filed against the creators who appeared on the show.
Apoorva’s Public Appearance
After the controversy, Apoorva was seen only once when she went to Khar Police Station to give her statement. She avoided the media, covered her face with a mask, and refused to answer any questions.
Her absence from social media left her 3 million fans worried, as she was usually very active online. She even unfollowed everyone on Instagram, and right now, her following count is 0.
Ranveer Allahbadia Also Involved
Apart from Apoorva, another creator, Ranveer Allahbadia, is also one of the main people accused in the controversy. Both of them submitted written apologies to the National Commission for Women (NCW) earlier this month.
