When Indraneil and Barkha ended their marriage, there were rumors that Indraneil had an affair with Bengali actress Ishaa Saha, which may have contributed to their separation. Recently, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Barkha finally spoke about their divorce. This happened after Indraneil opened up about his “failed” marriage on a podcast with Sanghmitra Hitaishi.
During the podcast, Indraneil said that even though some people might see his marriage as a failure, he believes it was successful for 13 years. He didn’t want to label it as a “failure” and talked about how both he and Barkha grew as individuals over time.
After this, Barkha revealed in her interview that it was Indraneil who decided to end the marriage. She said that if it were up to her, she would have tried to save their relationship. She also shared how the divorce took a toll on her emotionally and physically.
Barkha accused Indraneil of cheating and admitted that even after finding out about his infidelity, she forgave him and tried to work things out for two years. However, things didn’t improve, and they eventually separated.
Indraneil and Barkha’s Love Story
The two met while working on the show Pyaar Ke Do Naam: Ek Raadha, Ek Shyaam, where they played the lead roles. The show aired from April 3, 2006, to September 28, 2006. Though the show was short-lived, their love blossomed on set.
After dating for two years, they tied the knot in 2008. They were together for 14 years before their marriage fell apart. They officially divorced in 2022 when their daughter, Meira, was 9 years old. Today, Meira is 13 years old.
Their personal lives continue to be a topic of discussion, with both making strong statements about their past relationship.
