Janmashtami 2024: TV Actors Share Wishes, Traditions & Spiritual Journeys

On the special occasion of Janmashtami, many celebrities took to social media to share their warm wishes and personal reflections with their fans. Janmashtami, which celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna, is celebrated with great enthusiasm across India. Celebrities like Arjit Taneja, Ashlesha Savant, Munmun Dutta, Ravi Dubey, and Rajiv Adatia were among those who sent their greetings on this festive day.

Actor Arjit Taneja got into the spirit of Janmashtami by sharing a series of photos where he is seen participating in the traditional Dahi Handi celebration. In the pictures, he is breaking the Dahi Handi with a coconut. He captioned the post with a simple, “Happy Janmashtami!”

Ashlesha Savant, known for her role in Anupamaa, shared a heartfelt message with her followers. Alongside a picture of herself holding the Bhagavad Gita, she reflected on spirituality and the teachings of Lord Krishna. She wrote, “Whatever I have achieved and whatever I wish to achieve, I am not the doer of these. O Madhusudan, you are the real doer, and you alone enjoy the results.” Ashlesha also revealed that she has recently started reading the Bhagavad Gita. Previously, she used to watch content on her phone during breaks on set, but now she reads the Gita instead.

Comedian Sunil Grover posted a picture of little Krishna and wrote a traditional Janmashtami greeting: “Shree Krishna Janmashtami ki Shubhkamnaen. जय हो नंदलाल की जय यशोदा लाल की, हाथी घोडा पालकी जय कन्हैया लाल की॥”

Ravi Dubey, another popular TV actor, shared a fan-made video edit with the song Ve Haaniyan playing in the background as a special way to wish his followers a happy Janmashtami.

Former Bigg Boss 15 contestant Rajiv Adatia expressed his devotion by posting a serene image of Lord Krishna, along with a message wishing blessings to all. He wrote, “Wishing you and your families a blessed Janmashtami. I pray Krishna blesses you all. Hare Krishna.”

Stars from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, including Munmun Dutta and Palak Sindhwani, also joined in the celebrations by sharing their own Janmashtami wishes with their fans. Additionally, Bigg Boss OTT 3 participants Lovekesh Kataria and Shivani Kumari sent out spiritual messages to mark the occasion.
