Jennifer Lawrence and her husband, Cooke Maroney, have welcomed their second child. The couple, who already have a 3-year-old son, are overjoyed with the arrival of their newest family member.
Jennifer Wants a Private Life for Her Kids
According to sources close to the actress, Jennifer is very happy and feels that now was the perfect time to have another baby, as her first son is already growing up. She had earlier shared her pregnancy news on Instagram.
An insider told People Magazine, “Her first child was born in Los Angeles. She recently gave birth to her second child in New York City. She’s doing well.”
The source also added, “She was very excited about the pregnancy. She stayed active and felt good.”
Jennifer has been enjoying time with both her children and is often seen out with them. But she is very protective and wants her kids to grow up away from too much public attention. “She wants her children to have as much privacy as possible,” the source added.
Balancing Work and Motherhood
Back in 2023, Jennifer spoke with actress Cameron Diaz about how she manages work while raising her children. She shared how becoming a mom made her think carefully before taking on new projects.
“There’s just home, and it’s the best,” she said. “It helps me decide what’s really worth leaving my child for, even if it’s just for half a day.”
Jennifer also admitted that motherhood can feel different for everyone. Thankfully, she had honest friends who helped prepare her.
She shared a funny moment, “I remember walking with one of my best friends when I was nine months pregnant and saying, ‘Everyone says I’ll love my baby more than my cat… but maybe I’ll love him as much as my cat?’”
Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney got married in 2019. They welcomed their first son, Cy, in 2022. Now, with baby number two in the family, they are excited and focused on keeping their children’s lives as private and peaceful as possible.
