Kanwar Dhillon Speaks Out on Bigg Boss 18 Controversy Over Alice Kaushik’s Marriage Proposal Claim
Kanwar Dhillon has finally responded to the buzz around his denial of a marriage proposal to his girlfriend, Bigg Boss 18 contestant Alice Kaushik. Alice had expressed feeling hurt after show host Salman Khan informed her about what was being said outside the house. Kanwar’s statement stirred up social media reactions, with fans and even some celebrities criticizing him.
Kanwar addressed the controversy, saying he doesn’t feel the need to keep explaining himself but stands by Alice. Talking about the comments online, he said, “People interpreted it their own way and commented. Woh duniya ka kaam hai (it’s just how the world works). They saw the promo and jumped to conclusions without understanding what I meant.”
He called these critics “paid critics” and said he doesn’t feel like reacting to them. “If anyone has questions, they can call me directly. I don’t need to explain myself to strangers. When things are good, no one asks. So why meddle now? I know what I meant, and I won’t waste my energy explaining,” he added.
Kanwar also expressed his support for Alice and her close friends in the house, Avinash Mishra and Eisha Singh, who he feels are facing opposition from other housemates, including the recent wildcard entries.
In case you missed it, during the first week of Bigg Boss 18, Alice shared with housemates Karan Veer Mehra and Eisha Singh that when Kanwar approached her initially, he said he wanted to marry her. She also mentioned she’s the first girlfriend he introduced to his family.
But in a separate interview, Kanwar had dismissed these claims. He said, “I don’t get where these marriage rumors are coming from. Social media often spreads fake news, so don’t believe these rumors. I’m not getting married, especially not on national TV.”
Later, Salman Khan informed Alice about Kanwar’s statements, which left her shocked and emotional. Many viewers were upset, and actor Aly Goni tweeted his sympathy for Alice.
