Kanwar Dhillon Remembers His First Show & Talks About ‘Udne Ki Aasha’ and ‘Anupamaa’
Actor Kanwar Dhillon, known for his role as Sachin Deshmukh in Udne Ki Aasha, has come a long way since his debut. In an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, he looked back at his journey, shared his experiences from his first show, and spoke about the changing face of television.
Kanwar on His Acting Journey
Kanwar began his acting career in 2012 with The Buddy Project. Talking about his growth, he said, “Back then, I had no idea about acting. But over the years, I have improved with every show. My fans, family, and friends have seen my progress. However, I always feel I can do better. The best is yet to come.”
Even though Udne Ki Aasha is doing well, Kanwar believes that growth should never stop. “I never want to be too comfortable as an actor. Challenging myself keeps me motivated. I’ve learned a lot on set and by watching my own performances. Hard work never stops for me,” he added.
Television Is Changing, But Slowly
Kanwar also shared his thoughts on how television content is evolving. He explained, “TV is no longer as old-fashioned as it used to be. There has been a positive shift in storytelling. But when producers try something new, audiences often reject it. That discourages makers from taking risks.”
Despite the rise of OTT platforms, Kanwar believes TV will always have a loyal audience. “Shows like Udne Ki Aasha and Anupamaa are proof that television is still strong. No other platform can replace its charm,” he said.
A Special Bond with His Team
Kanwar feels at home working with Rahul sir and Rolling Tales Production. He shared, “This production house is like family. Even when I’m not shooting, I visit their office and spend time with the team. I truly hope this bond lasts forever.”
In Udne Ki Aasha, Kanwar stars opposite Neha Harsora, and the show consistently ranks in the Top 3 on the TRP charts due to its gripping storyline.
