According to a report by Siasat, Archana Puran Singh charges Rs 10–12 lakh per episode. However, this number isn’t officially confirmed.
In a recent interview with The Indian Express, Archana Puran Singh responded to a troll’s comment and to Kapil Sharma’s joke about her “being paid to laugh” on the show. She said, “Yes, I am paid to be a judge — that’s what I initially started with Comedy Circus. Now, I’m paid not to judge but to be a celebrity guest. I honestly don’t even know what my role is. Kapil makes a joke about it, but I’m actually paid to enjoy myself — and because I laugh openly and spontaneously, people say I’m paid to laugh.”
Navjot Singh Sidhu’s Comeback to The Great Indian Kapil Show
Navjot Singh Sidhu is joining Archana Puran Singh as the second judge on the show. This is a big comeback for him after six years. He was removed following controversy over his comments related to the Pulwama attack. Archana Puran Singh then became a permanent judge on the show.
According to Filmibeat, Navjot Singh Sidhu is charging somewhere between Rs 30–40 lakh per episode.
While he hasn’t been a judge for many years, Navjot Singh Sidhu did appear as a guest on The Great Indian Kapil Show alongside his wife, Harbhajan Singh, and Geeta Basra.
The new season of The Great Indian Kapil Show starts on Netflix on June 21, with Salman Khan as the first celebrity guest.
