How does it feel to join a top-rated show like Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin? How did this opportunity come your way?
Being part of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin feels surreal. Even after five months on the show, I can’t believe I’m here. Time has flown by because I’ve been so focused on my work. My goal is to give my best in every scene and keep the show performing well.
This role came to me unexpectedly. I was initially considering a film project, but there were delays. When the Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin team called, I thought, Why not give this a shot? It was a quick decision, but I’m glad I made it.
Fans love the on-screen chemistry of #Arshika. What makes your partnership with Arsh so special?
Arsh is an amazing actor, and we have great natural energy together. The way our scenes are written and directed helps us bring that chemistry to life. It just clicks!
What’s your off-screen bond like with co-stars Bhavika Sharma and Hitesh Bharadwaj?
I’ve worked mostly with Hitesh so far, and he’s incredible. He’s a brilliant actor and also a great friend. We often chat about books, poems, and other interesting topics, so it’s never just about work.
I haven’t done many scenes with Bhavika yet, but she’s so fun and easygoing. At the same time, she’s super dedicated, just like Hitesh. Their focus and hard work are part of why the show’s ratings stay so high.
Your character in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin has grey shades. How did you react to this role?
I love playing grey-shaded characters—they challenge me and keep things exciting. At first, I wasn’t sure about saying yes to this role because I was waiting for a South project that kept getting delayed. When Ghum came along, I took it as a sign and decided to go for it.
Many actors are starting businesses alongside their careers. Do you have similar plans?
Yes, I think it’s a great idea. The entertainment industry can be unpredictable, so having a backup plan makes sense. I’d love to explore fashion, beauty, and healthy food alternatives because they align with my lifestyle and interests. Creativity is essential for me, even in business.
What are your thoughts on redefining beauty in today’s times?
I think we’ve set unrealistic beauty standards. Everyone is chasing perfection—perfect bodies, perfect faces—but beauty is in imperfections. These expectations are harming people’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being. We need to embrace natural beauty and remember the iconic faces of the past, who were celebrated for much more than their looks.
Of all the roles you’ve played, which is closest to your real self?
It’s tough to pick because all my characters are special. But if I go by what fans say, they really connected with me as Kuhu in Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke and Monami in Ziddi Dil Maane Na. These roles shaped me as an actor and will always hold a special place in my heart.
