In a recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, a 15-year-old contestant named Aryan Handa from Bathinda, Punjab, took the hot seat and wowed everyone with his love for space and science. It’s Juniors Week on the show, and Aryan became the first junior contestant this season to win an impressive 50 lakh rupees, even going on to attempt the 1 crore question.
Aryan shared that his interest in space grew last year when India launched Chandrayaan-3. “When the news of Chandrayaan-3 came out, my curiosity about space really took off,” he said. This curiosity led him to spend hours researching planets, galaxies, and stars, fueling his dream of becoming an aerospace engineer. He also looks up to S. Somnath, the chairman of ISRO, as his biggest inspiration.
Amitabh Bachchan was clearly impressed, saying, “India’s future is in good hands with young people like you.” Laughing, he added, “You’re talking about ISRO at 15; at that age, I couldn’t even tie my pajamas!”
In addition to his passion for space, Aryan showed off his quick problem-solving skills by solving three Rubik’s cubes in under 90 seconds, which amazed everyone, including Big B. During the episode, Amitabh surprised Aryan with a video call from Sonam Bajwa, his celebrity crush. Overjoyed, Aryan celebrated by doing a quick Bhangra dance.
Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 continues to inspire viewers with talented young contestants like Aryan, whose dreams and skills make a lasting impression.
