KBC 16: Contestant Accuses Designers of Copying His Work – See Amitabh’s Reaction!

Kaun Banega Crorepati season 16, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, continues to be loved by viewers. In the September 6 episode, contestant Devang Agarwal took the hot seat and won Rs 12,50,000. During the show, Devang, who runs a Banarasi saree business, shared an interesting claim: designers often copy his designs.

Devang explained that his family business, which was started by his grandfather and later managed by his father, has been under his care for the past 7-8 years. He highlighted the importance of trust within the business, especially to avoid design leaks.

Amitabh Bachchan, curious about the challenges of designing, asked, “Designing must be difficult, right?” Devang confirmed, explaining that it can take 6 months to a year to create just one pattern. He mentioned that if designs aren’t protected, they can easily get leaked. When Bachchan asked if the trends they follow come from celebrities, Devang clarified that they don’t directly copy celebrities but are influenced by what they see on TV.

Big B joked, “Do you copy them?” Devang responded, “No, they copy us.” Bachchan laughed, saying, “Good to know! We were also wondering where all these designs come from.”

Kaun Banega Crorepati season 16, which blends knowledge and inspiration, offers life-changing cash prizes. The show premiered on Sony TV on August 12 and airs new episodes from Monday to Friday at 9 PM, also available on Sony LIV for streaming.
