Are Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss Really Canceled? Here’s a Big Update About the Shows Hosted by Rohit Shetty and Salman Khan
Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi are two of the most popular reality shows on Indian TV. Bigg Boss has been hosted by Salman Khan for many years, while Rohit Shetty hosts the action-packed Khatron Ke Khiladi.
Recently, there were reports that the upcoming seasons of these shows had been canceled due to problems between the production house and the TV channel. But now, there’s a new update that gives fans hope.
The Shows Might Shift to a New Channel
According to a report from Screen, Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi are not canceled. Instead, they may soon move to Sony TV instead of Colors.
The decision was reportedly made due to creative differences between the channel and the production team. The shows are just delayed, not canceled.
- Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 15 is expected to air by the end of September.
- Bigg Boss Season 19 may begin by the end of October.
- Bigg Boss OTT, which was supposed to release in June, is now delayed to July or August.
However, it’s still unclear whether Salman Khan and Rohit Shetty will continue as hosts after the channel change.
Confusion Around Khatron Ke Khiladi 15
Another report from News18 suggests that Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 might actually be canceled. According to a source, there were many reasons for the delay, including Rohit Shetty’s busy schedule, which made it hard to fix shoot dates. That’s why the show may not happen this season.
What’s Going on Behind the Scenes?
Earlier, Pinkvilla reported that the production company Banijay Asia, which made Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi, will no longer produce these shows.
There were internal issues within the company, which led to Endemol (the show’s format owner) pulling out of their deal with Colors TV. Banijay Asia had a 50% partnership, and their exit caused uncertainty around both shows.
As of now, we’re still waiting for an official statement from the makers of Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi.
