Who Was Krishna Das? Remembering The Kapil Sharma Show’s Late Photographer

The team of The Kapil Sharma Show recently shared the sad news of the passing of Krishna Das, lovingly known as Das Dada. He was a special part of the show for many years, working as a photographer. After the announcement, many celebrities and fans paid their respects and expressed their sorrow.
Who Was Krishna Das?
Krishna Das was the official photographer for The Kapil Sharma Show. People on the set often called him Das Dada. He wasn’t just known for his photography—he also loved to dance! He often joined celebrities on stage and danced with them during the show’s fun moments.
Das Dada is survived by his wife, a son, and a daughter.
In 2019, he received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award (2018) for his amazing work in photography.
His last Instagram post was a photo with popular rapper Badshah.
A Fun Memory With Celebrities
One of the most loved moments with Das Dada was when Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi came to the show. He jokingly told them how he doesn’t get a seat on the bus meant for senior citizens because people say he doesn’t “look old.” Kapil Sharma and Archana Puran Singh teased him about it, and he even danced with Sonakshi and Huma on stage!
A Heartfelt Goodbye
Das Dada was known for his happy and cheerful nature, and many stars became close to him over the years. His sudden death shocked many.
Chandan Prabhakar, a key member of The Kapil Sharma Show, spoke to Pinkvilla about the loss. He said:
“He was like family. I still remember his smiling face and how he danced at parties and on stage. He always called me ‘Sir’. He was loyal, full of energy, and a pure soul. May God give peace to his soul. Om Shanti.”
The Kapil Sharma Show aired on Sony TV from April 2016 to July 2023. Das Dada’s memories and joyful presence will always be remembered by those who knew and worked with him.
