Krushna Abhishek Slams Samay Raina Amid India’s Got Talent Controversy

Krushna Abhishek Talks About Samay Raina Amid ‘India’s Got Latent’ Controversy

The controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent has been making headlines since February 2025. Many politicians and celebrities have criticized the show’s stand-up comedians and influencers for using vulgar language. Recently, comedians Krushna Abhishek and Rajiv Thakur shared their thoughts on the issue and spoke about their bond with Samay Raina. Krushna also revealed that he was invited to be part of the show.

Krushna Abhishek Defends Samay Raina

While talking to the media on the sets of Laughter Chefs, Krushna praised Samay Raina, calling him a good human being who always respects people, even when he roasts them. He also revealed, “I was supposed to go for India’s Got Latent, but I couldn’t make it because I was unwell. Samay had invited me. I love his show; it’s good.”

Addressing the show’s content, Krushna added, “Gaali Galoch, theek hai bhai” (The abuses are okay). He explained that Samay’s comedy is harmless and that his audience understands and enjoys it without taking offense. Krushna even expressed his wish to appear as a guest on Samay’s show in the future.

Rajiv Thakur on Samay Raina and India’s Got Latent

Rajiv Thakur, who is part of The Great Indian Kapil Show, also praised Samay Raina in a conversation with Siddharth Kannan. He shared that Samay encouraged him to return to open mic performances.

Rajiv recalled meeting Samay on Kapil Sharma’s show, where Samay expressed his admiration for the entire team. He also revealed that Samay organized a special show just for him, giving him a 30-minute set to perform. Rajiv appreciated Samay’s support and encouragement, saying, “He gave me so much love and respect.”

Rajiv’s Take on India’s Got Latent Roast Format

Speaking about the roasting format on India’s Got Latent, Rajiv said that guests who come on the show should be prepared for jokes at their expense. He explained, “Go to Latent only if you can handle the jokes. I also perform at open mics and write new material to connect with the GenZ audience. Everyone has their own set of fans.”

India’s Got Latent Controversy

For those unaware, India’s Got Latent faced backlash earlier this month when Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija, and others made obscene comments on the show. The controversy sparked debates about the limits of comedy and freedom of speech.
