Did You Know Krushna Abhishek Used to Steal Clothes from Govinda’s Wardrobe? Here’s How He Got Caught
Krushna Abhishek recently shared a hilarious story about how he used to steal clothes from his uncle Govinda’s wardrobe. This funny confession had everyone on The Great Indian Kapil Show, including Archana Puran Singh and Rajiv Thakur, laughing uncontrollably.
During a chat with Archana Puran Singh after wrapping up the shoot for a special episode that reunited Krushna and Govinda after seven years, Krushna revealed his sneaky habit. He said,
“Unko aaj mein bolne wala tha ki unke itne cheezein churaiyi hain, unko pata bhi nahi hain. Kitne kapde churaye hain.”
(I was going to tell him today that I’ve stolen so many things from him, and he has no idea. I’ve stolen so many clothes.)
Krushna then explained how he used to do it. He said,
“Wo dete nahi the, pehle dete the kuch kuch. Mere paas collection hai unke kapde ka jo unhone gaane mein pehne hain. Jo nahi dete the mangne pe, wo chura leta tha.”
(He didn’t always give his clothes willingly. He gave a few at first, and I still have a collection of the outfits he wore in his songs. But the ones he didn’t give when I asked, I would just steal.)
Archana, surprised, asked if Govinda ever caught him. Krushna laughed and replied,
“Itne kapde hote the, kaise pata chalega.”
(He had so many clothes, how would he know?)
But one day, Krushna’s luck ran out. He recalled,
“Ek baar unhone mujhe pakad liya tha. Kehte hain ye shirt tune kaha se liya? Meine bola aapne hi toh diye the. Bolte hain nahi, ye toh mein de hi nahi sakta. Spot boy bolte hain ye sir ko pehenke continuity karni hain. Us din mein pakda gaya.”
(He caught me once and asked, ‘Where did you get this shirt?’ I said, ‘You gave it to me.’ He replied, ‘No, I would never give this one.’ Then his spot boy said that Govinda needed it for continuity in a shoot. That day, I was caught.)
Krushna’s story had Archana and Rajiv Thakur laughing nonstop, proving once again why he is such a natural entertainer.
