Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi New Season: Phones Taped, Z-Plus Security for Smriti Irani
The popular TV show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is making a comeback, and fans are very excited. The news of the reboot was first shared by Pinkvilla. The new season is produced by Ektaa Kapoor and will feature the original stars, Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay.
Now, there are fresh updates about the show. According to recent reports, Smriti Irani has started shooting for the new season. Because of her high-profile status as a politician, she will be filming with Z-plus security. Also, for safety and privacy, her phone will be tapped, and no one on set will be allowed to use mobile phones.
India Forums shared that not just Smriti, but Amar Upadhyay and Ektaa Kapoor’s phones will also be monitored. The entire shoot will be under tight security, and everyone on set must follow strict rules.
So far, the makers have not revealed the release date or trailer of the new season. More details are expected soon.
Earlier reports mentioned that this new season will have 150 episodes. The original show ended just 150 episodes short of completing 2,000 episodes, so this reboot aims to finish that goal. The first season ran successfully for 8 years.
Ektaa Kapoor and her team are planning to officially announce the reboot in June 2025.
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi first aired from July 3, 2000, to November 6, 2008. Smriti Irani played Tulsi, and Amar Upadhyay played Mihir. The show had a massive fan following and was loved by millions.
