Today, January 14, marks the celebration of Makar Sankranti, a festival of new beginnings, gratitude, and prosperity. While it is called Makar Sankranti in Maharashtra, the festival has different names across India—Pongal in Tamil Nadu, Uttarayan in Gujarat, Lohri in Punjab, and Bihu in Assam.
On this special day, celebrities like Rubina Dilaik, Mannara Chopra, and Rajiv Adatia sent heartfelt wishes to their fans.
Rubina Dilaik Shares Warm Wishes
Rubina Dilaik was spotted on the sets of Laughter Chefs earlier today. As she stepped out of her car, the paparazzi greeted her with, “Happy Makar Sankranti” and the traditional saying, “Til gud ghya, god god bola” (Eat sweets and speak sweetly).
Rubina returned their wishes and spoke about the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. She said, “It’s such a fortunate time. We are born in a very good period. I wish and pray that everyone’s day and year go well, and I hope the Maha Kumbh is a great success.” She promised to meet the photographers again after getting ready and headed to her vanity van.

Mannara Chopra Joins the Festivities
Mannara Chopra was also spotted on the sets of Laughter Chefs. She greeted the paparazzi with a cheerful “Happy Makar Sankranti” and mentioned that Lohri was celebrated yesterday.
When asked if she would eat Til gud, Mannara seemed confused and replied, “We eat that on Gudi Padwa, right?” The paparazzi explained that it is a Makar Sankranti tradition. After sharing a fun moment with them, Mannara smiled and left for her shoot.

Rajiv Adatia also shared his wishes on social media. On Twitter, he wrote, “Wishing you all a very happy and blessed Makar Sankranti!!”
