A video of Malaika from Hip Hop India Season 2 has gone viral. In the clip, she is seen scolding 16-year-old Naveen Shah from Uttar Pradesh after his audition. While performing, Naveen made inappropriate gestures towards Malaika, which upset her. She immediately called him out for his behavior.
Now, in a new interview, Malaika has spoken about the incident.
Malaika’s Reaction to the Incident
Speaking to ANI, Malaika said, “At that moment, I didn’t really mean to scold him or say he was doing something wrong. That wasn’t my intention. I just felt he was overdoing it a little. I wanted to tell him to tone it down—there was no need to do so much.”
She also explained that judges sometimes have fun and play along, which is fine. “We also blow kisses, we also bite our lips—it’s all part of expressing ourselves, and that’s okay. But I just felt his actions were a bit too much.”
Despite the incident, Malaika praised Naveen. She called him a talented dancer and a nice kid.
