VIDEO: Mannara Chopra and Sister Mitali Cry Uncontrollably at Their Father’s Funeral
Mannara Chopra and her sister Mitali Handa were seen heartbroken during the last rites of their father, Raman Rai Handa, who passed away on June 16. The funeral was held today (June 18) at a cremation ground in Jogeshwari West, Mumbai. Family members and close friends were present to say goodbye.
Mannara and Mitali Break Down in Tears
Raman Rai Handa, who was also the uncle of Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra, passed away after suffering from age-related health problems. His death has left the family deeply saddened. In the video from the funeral, Mannara and Mitali can be seen crying uncontrollably while standing close to each other. Their pain was clear as they performed the final rituals.
Mannara Shared Her Grief on Social Media
After her father’s passing, Mannara posted an emotional message on Instagram. She wrote:
“With deep sorrow, we inform you about the sad demise of our beloved father, who left us for his heavenly home on June 16, 2025. He was the strength of our family.”
At first, the funeral was planned for Amboli, Andheri West, but Mannara later updated fans that it would take place in Jogeshwari West instead.

After hearing the news, many fans shared comforting messages for Mannara and her family. One person wrote, “Heartfelt condolences to Mannara’s family. May his soul rest in peace.” Another said, “Your father was a great and respected man. Let’s all pray for his peaceful journey.”
According to reports, Raman Rai Handa had not been well for a few days before his death.
Priyanka Chopra Pays Tribute
Priyanka Chopra, who is currently outside India, also paid tribute to her uncle. In her Instagram story, she wrote:
“You’ll always be in our hearts. Rest easy Raman uncle (fufaji). Om Shanti.”
