MTV Roadies XX Promo: Rannvijay Singha Talks About His Journey from Contestant to Host; Says ‘I’m Home’
Rannvijay Singha, the original host of Roadies, is back! Both the contestants who want to join this season and the fans are super excited to see him return. To make the excitement even bigger, the makers released a new promo where Rannvijay talks about his 20-year journey with the show and how it feels to be back. Let’s check it out!
The promo starts with Rannvijay looking up from a newspaper and saying, “The big news today is that after so long, I’m back on the MTV set. It feels like I’ve come back home.” He then adds that this is something new for him as he has never made a comeback on MTV before. He says, “This is my first time coming back to MTV, so it feels different.”
As people cheer for him, Rannvijay arrives in style, riding a bike. The camera focuses on him as he leans on the bike and thinks about his journey from being a contestant. He shares, “I was 20 when I started as a contestant. I grew up with the show, and the show grew up with me. A lot of people can understand this: when you are away from something you love, it feels like a long-distance relationship, and your heart grows even fonder. Now that we’ve been apart, the bond feels even stronger. Roadies means a lot to me. I’ve given my blood, sweat, and youth to it, and I’ve received so much in return. It truly feels like home.”
Rannvijay also mentioned that many people who left the show went on to have successful lives, but some returned and continued to grow with the Roadies community. He reflected on how quickly time has passed, saying, “When I started in 2003, which was 20-21 years ago, it feels like a long time, but it also feels like we just started a little while ago. When you think about it… Ayushmann, Bani… Kenya, Brazil, there’s so much we’ve done. Every journey was a new journey. We never felt like, ‘Oh, we’re doing this again.’ Spending 2 decades on something means a lot. Being part of a successful show like Roadies, kudos to MTV.”
The promo is shared with the caption, “Two decades later, and still the heartbeat of Roadies. It’s not just a comeback, it’s a legacy.” The promo also includes the audition dates for different cities: Delhi on October 13, Chandigarh on October 15, Hyderabad on October 18, and Pune on October 20.
Many celebrities, like Nakuul Mehta, Harbhajan Singh, and Varun Sood, commented on the video, expressing their excitement to see Rannvijay back on Roadies.
