Munawar Faruqui Remembers Being Hospitalized a Day Before Marrying Mehzabeen Coatwala
Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui has been making headlines ever since his victory. While he was already famous for his stand-up comedy, the reality show made him a household name. Recently, Munawar grabbed attention again when he had a private wedding with his wife, Mehzabeen Coatwala.
In a podcast with Sana Khan and Mufti Anas Sayed, Munawar shared a surprising story about how he was hospitalized just a day before his wedding.
Munawar’s Health Scare Before the Wedding
During the podcast, Munawar shared how he had prayed for a happy married life, and God blessed him with Mehzabeen. But just a day before the wedding, he fell sick and had to be hospitalized.
He recalled, “I was in the hospital for two days. The doctor came and said I might be discharged on Monday or Tuesday. I looked at the nurse and told the doctor, ‘Send her outside.'”
Munawar then revealed that he told the doctor about his wedding, and the doctor laughed in surprise. “I told him, ‘I’m getting married tomorrow.’ The doctor just laughed and said, ‘Okay!'”
However, Munawar was in bad shape due to an intestinal infection, and the doctors weren’t sure if he could be discharged.
Wedding Happened Despite Health Issues
The comedian shared that the doctors had restricted his diet, and everyone was worried about how the wedding would take place. But despite his health struggles, the wedding happened as planned.
Munawar and Mehzabeen’s Love Story
Munawar is one of the most popular names in the entertainment world, with a huge fan base. His wife, Mehzabeen Coatwala, is a renowned makeup artist who has worked with top celebrities.
The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on May 26, 2024. Mehzabeen has a 10-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, while Munawar was previously married to Jasmine and has a six-year-old son, Mikael.
According to reports, actor Hina Khan played a key role in introducing Munawar and Mehzabeen.
