Munawar Faruqui Roasts Elvish Yadav Over Snake Venom Controversy on Hafta Vasooli
Munawar Faruqui is back on screens with his latest show, Hafta Vasooli, which premiered on JioHotstar on February 14. The show has been getting a lot of love from viewers, and clips from the first episode are already going viral. But what grabbed everyone’s attention was Munawar’s roast of YouTuber Elvish Yadav.
Munawar’s Dig at Elvish Yadav
In a clip from the show, a news anchor reads a bizarre news story:
“Agli khabar aa rahi hain seedha sanp ke muh se. Bangalore mein ek mahila ka dar ke maare bana thobra, jab online order mein Xbox se nikla cobra.”
(“The next news is coming straight from the snake’s mouth. In Bangalore, a woman was left terrified when a cobra came out of her online order instead of an Xbox.”)
Hearing this, Munawar quickly jokes, “Oooh, Elvish ka parcel isko deliver ho gaya.” (“Oh, she received Elvish Yadav’s parcel.”) The audience bursts into laughter and cheers at his comment.
The Elvish Yadav Snake Venom Case
For those unaware, Munawar was referring to Elvish Yadav’s recent controversy. The Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner was accused of supplying snake venom as a recreational drug for rave parties. The UP Police arrested him after tests confirmed the presence of cobra and krait snake venom. He was sent to 14 days of judicial custody but was later granted bail by the Gautam Buddha Nagar district court.
Munawar’s Take on the Ranveer Allahbadia Controversy
Besides Elvish Yadav, Munawar also made a comment about Ranveer Allahbadia’s ongoing controversy. While he showed support for comedian Samay Raina, he later poked fun at Ranveer, a.k.a. BeerBiceps.
In a viral clip, Munawar is seen standing by the roadside as a police vehicle passes by. He then jokes, “Police jaa rahi hai, BeerBiceps ke ghar.” (“The police are going to BeerBiceps’ house.”)
With his sharp wit and fearless humor, Munawar once again proves why he is one of the most talked-about comedians today.
