Munmun Dutta shares a nostalgic throwback to her first ad shoot

Munmun Dutta, best known for playing Babita Iyer in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, recently gave her fans a glimpse into her past by sharing photos from her very first ad shoot. These pictures not only show how far she’s come in her career but also bring back memories of her early days when she was excited about new opportunities and faced the challenges of living in Mumbai.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Munmun shared a series of images from that debut ad shoot. She was just 17 years old at the time and looked stunning in a black outfit, posing by a car with the beautiful Kerala backwaters in the background.

She captioned the post, “One from the archives,” and shared her excitement about that moment. She wrote, “I was so thrilled to get this opportunity as a complete newcomer in the industry and in Mumbai… A bonus was getting to travel to such a beautiful location by flight, which was a big deal for me since it was only my second time on a plane, and I couldn’t afford a ticket on my own.”

Munmun also reflected on the struggles she faced during that time, recalling how making ends meet was tough and flying was a rare treat. Despite the challenges, she expressed gratitude for the experiences that helped shape her. She ended her post with pride, saying, “A big pat on my back, and God has been kind.”

Her fans were deeply moved by her story, filling the comments with admiration. One fan called her a “Queen for a reason,” while another remarked, “You look so young.” A third follower added, “You haven’t aged at all.”

For those who might not know, Munmun Dutta has been a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah since the show began. For more than a decade, she has charmed audiences with her role as Babita, becoming a beloved figure in one of India’s most popular TV shows.
