The FIR was lodged on December 18 at Mumbai’s Amboli police station. Muskan has accused her husband, mother-in-law Jyoti Motwani, and sister-in-law, actress Hansika Motwani, under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including:
- 498-A: Cruelty
- 323: Causing hurt
- 504: Intentional insult
- 506: Criminal intimidation
- 34: Common intention
Claims Against the Family
Muskan alleged that her mother-in-law and sister-in-law excessively interfered in her marriage, which created tension between her and Prashant. She also claimed that they demanded expensive gifts and money and were involved in fraudulent property dealings.
Additionally, Muskan said she suffered domestic violence, which caused her immense stress and led to her developing Bell’s Palsy, a condition that causes facial paralysis.
Living Separately for Two Years
Muskan revealed that she and Prashant have been living apart for over two years. “Yes, an FIR has been registered against Prashant, Hansika, and Jyoti Motwani. I have sought legal assistance now. At this point, I am not at liberty to comment further,” she said.
